Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents Responding to Chronic Stress is a 16-session group designed for adolescents from 12 to 21 years old. In the post-pandemic world, many young teens suffer under the intense scrutiny of social media with fewer meaningful relationships as they try to build a positive image of who they are. SPARCS addresses those stressors by focusing on building skills in the areas of emotional regulation, problems solving, and interpersonal communication to help teens develop a more self-affirming view of themselves.
Parenting Adolescents Responding to Chronic Stress, a 16-session group that combines the effective tools of SPARCS and DBT with essential information about the developmental phase of adolescence and its unique features. Parents learn strategies to manage their stress and anxiety, which often increase as they labor to usher their teens into adulthood, as well as tools to strengthen their relationship with their children and help them respond to life's challenges successfully.
Based on the work of Daniel Siegel, MD, and Tina Bryson, PhD, this 12-session group focuses on giving parents tools to promote connection and address behavioral issues with brain-building, ability enhancing ways in the context of healthy child development.
